How To Install An Aftermarket Head Unit In A Saab

2. Plug the 6-pin electrical connector into the back of the head unit. The Saab uses a 6-pin electrical connector to control the head unit. This factory plug needs to be plugged into the back of the new head unit in the 6-pin slot.

3. Slide the new head unit into place until it locks. The units made for Saabs use a self-locking mechanism to secure the head unit to the cage in the dash. Push the unit in until it clicks, indicating it is locked into place.
