Instructions

  1. Application

    • 1

Prep your face for application. Wash your face and completely dry it with a cloth towel. With your fingers, lightly apply Neutrogena's oil-free face lotion all over your face, including your neck and under your jawline. Remove any excess lotion with a tissue, gently tapping your face.

    • 2

With the makeup sponge wedge, lightly apply Lola Cosmetic's oil-free foundation to your skin. Carefully sweep under your eyes, along your temples, forehead, nose ridge, cheekbones, and jawline. Gently blend the foundation along your jawline and into your neck region. Your face is ready for makeup.

    • 3

Open Bare Escentual's "Warmth" bronzer, tapping a small amount of the bronzer into the lid. Dip the small squirrel blush and bronzing powder brush into the warmth bronzer, cover the brush completely with the powder. Tap gently at the edge of the lip to remove excess powder. Starting from the ears and following the natural cheek bone line revealed by creating a closed smile (no teeth) with your mouth, follow the line with the brush. Circle the warmth powder gently around the apples of your cheek. Dip the brush back into the warmth, repeating the swirl and tap process on the lid. Lift your head up, facing the ceiling, and follow your natural jawline, hitting under the jaw and pulling down into your neck line with the brush.

Use the remaining warmth powder on the brush to gently sweep once over each eye lid. Take the kabuki brush and blend the warmth into your skin. Start at the middle of your cheeks and blend outward, into your forehead, temples and jawline. Blend down into your neckline.

You have created the contours of your face.

    • 4

Open Nars' "Orgasm" blush. Gently sweep your squirrel brush into the blush. Swirl and focus the blush only on the apples of your cheeks. Use the remaining blush powder on your squirrel blush and gently sweep across your forehead, nose, cheekbones, and chin. Again, take your kabuki brush and repeat the same process as in Step 3, blending outward on your face.

You have created the highlights of your face.

    • 5

Open Smashbox's "Brunette" brow tech shadow pot. Take the angled eyebrow grooming brush and dip it into the wax side of the shadow pot. Sculpt your eyebrows, following the natural brow line with the wax. Ensure that the hairs are all flowing in the same direction and smooth. Take your angled eyebrow grooming brush and dip it into the brunette powder. Slightly darken and thicken the beginning corners of your eyebrows, closest to your nose. This area should be the thickest and slowly fade out, lighter in color and smaller in shape to the end of your eyebrow.

You have now defined your eyebrows.

    • 6

Take the angled brow grooming brush and re-dip it into the brunette powder. Follow the upper eye's lash line, near the nose out to the temples. Allow the deepest and thickest portion of the line to end at the lash line near the temples.

Open Mac's "Motif" eye shadow. Take the flat eye shadow brush and dip it into the shadow. Gently sweep fully across your entire eye lids. Use the remaining powder on the flat shadow brush. Sweep directly on the skin of your upper eye, directly under your eyebrow.

Take Maybelline's "Black" Great Lash mascara and apply to both your upper and lower lashes. Zigzag back and forth, starting along your lash line and pulling upward and out to catch all your lashes.

    • 7

Open Maybelline's "Neutral" oil-free loose finishing powder. Tap the powder into the lip. Take the kabuki face brush and swirl generously in the loose finishing powder. Tap the excess powder off the brush and into the lid. Swirl the powder on the kabuki brush into your skin. Buff from the apples of your cheek and blend outward in a circular motion. This will remove any excess shine from your face and set the makeup.

    • 8

Take off the lid to Studio Gear's "Nude" lip liner. Make sure the pencil is sharp. Apply the lip pencil on your upper lip. Define and follow the edge of the lip line. Apply the lip pencil along the bottom lip. Define and follow the edges of the lips lip line. Fill in the bottom lip with the nude lip liner pencil as if it is lipstick. Leave a small area of the middle lower lip region clear of lip pencil. This will be your lip highlight.

Open Studio Gear's "Repentance" lip stick. Apply to your upper lip. Dab and apply only to the bottom lip where the lip pencil did not go.

Open Mac's "Big Kiss" Plushglass lip gloss. Apply lightly to your upper lip. Dab and apply on the bottom lip where the lip pencil did not go.

Tips & Warnings

  • The success of Stacey's look is that she lets her own beauty shine through. Most of the makeup application allows you to bring out the natural contours & highlights of your face. The color choice only enhances the glow your face already has, with your eyes remaining light and open and giving you a semi-nude lip. This is a great look for work, having a day of shopping or joining your friends for brunch on the weekends.
