How to Whiten and Brighten Teeth
You can have whiter, brighter teeth without purchasing expensive commercial products or enduring dental office treatments. Instead of paying for professional whitening, you can use common household items. Be aware, however, that natural whitening methods may take longer to achieve the results you want than a visit to the dentist would. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Hydrogen peroxide
- Baking soda
- Small container
- Toothbrush
- Toothpaste
- Strawberries
- Floss

Place 2 teaspoons of baking soda in a small container.

Put about 1 or 2 teaspoons of hydrogen peroxide in the container with the baking soda. The mixture should create a paste with about the same consistency as toothpaste.

Brush your teeth with the paste and leave it on your teeth for two minutes. Do not swallow the paste.

Brush your teeth with toothpaste. This will rid your mouth of the terrible taste of the mixture.

Mash a strawberry in a small container, then rub it on your tooth enamel using your fingers. The malic acid in the berry helps to lighten yellow teeth. Rinse your mouth. Remove any strawberry seeds caught in your teeth with floss.

Brush, floss and use mouthwash daily to maintain a white smile and dissolve dark stains from smoking and drinking tea and coffee.
