This article will tell you exactly how to use twitter to promote your small, mid-sized or corporate business.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Just as soon as you sign your business up for a twitter account, you can begin sending your first 'tweet' which is a message seen by all on in the twitter community. Tweets are restricted to 140 characters or less, but you can send multiple messages out to the community each day. Businesses are taking advantage of this micro-blogging community by making special announcements, offering online coupons and specials that reach a very large audience quickly.

  2. Step 2

Twitter is a great way to keep in touch with current customers and also to make some new ones. You can introduce your business services and products to a whole different demographic of people that conventional advertising and marketing couldn't reach.

  3. Step 3

When you begin with Twitter for your business, make sure you include links on your Twitter page that allow people to navigate to your website, blogs or other promotional websites. You twitter page should always reflect positively the business persona and image you are looking to project. Keep it professional and use it as a one-stop visibility location for your company's mission statement and overview of services. Make sure people know how to find you and you're well on your way.

  4. Step 4

Twitter is an excellent way to get your internet presence circulating quickly and easily. Try running a special promotion or contest to get the attention of your target audience. When your tweets are re-twittered (RT) then you are on your way to becoming widely known in the Twitter community.
