How to Find a Person on Craigslist

Life is full of encounters that didn't lead to more. All too often, we never see that person again. It used to be that one merely had to resign himself to this fact. However, with the advent of the Internet---and craigslist.org in particular---finding the person you had that deep, meaningful conversation with or made eye contact with on the bus is a little easier.

Instructions

1. Go to craigslist.com. Area-specific pages are divided by country, state, city and region. Select the area in which you last saw the person.

2. Click on "missed connections" under the "personals" category, then select whether you are a man looking for a woman, a woman looking for a man, a man looking for a man, or a woman looking for a woman.

3. Click on the "post" link located in the upper right-hand corner of your relevant page. This will take you to a form in which you can write your ad. Write a description of the person, where you last saw her, and who you are. Include the person's first name if you know it. Make sure the person you are looking for can recognize herself from your description. Use a shortened version of your post as your subject line.

4. Submit your ad and wait. While there are no guarantees, the person you are looking for may contact you. In the meantime, browse through the listings. You never know if she is searching for you, as well.
