There is an infinite amount of free samples, free food and free stuff that you can get just by asking for it - you just need to know where to look.

1
Make a list of your priorities. Remember food, shelter and electricity are your first priorities. Everything else is considered extras. In other words, the cable and credit cards come after the necessities.
-
2
Check out your state's food stamp program. Don't try being too proud to get food stamps. The program is there to help you if you need it, and it will help cut the amount of money you have to come up with each month.

Check with the local food banks to see if you can get human and pet food. The local one in South Carolina provides food for dogs and cats too. They realize that people who lose their jobs or need money have pets too.

Try writing for Ehow, Busiska, Associated Content or other programs online. They do bring in an income each month that will cover the necessities that aren't covered by food stamps. You may be able to work the writing into a full time job.

Check out the free stuff in your area listed on Craig's List. You would be surprised what stuff is given away for free on Craig's List. Last week, I saw 3 dining room table sets, 2 sofas, fire wood and more. All you had to do was pick it up.

Have a yard sale. Every time that I clear out the house, I make some extra cash. I was shocked the first time I had a yard sale. Things that I thought were total junk, sold for pretty good prices. Remember, your trash is just what someone has been hunting for.

Plant a salad garden. I know winter is coming, but you can still make a small garden that has salad greens in one big pot. You can put it in a window or a well lit room, and you'll have free salad greens any time you want it. If you have the space outside, make a cold frame to stretch the outside growing season. Make a box out of wood or use a plastic storage box. Make a frame, and put a piece of plexiglass or glass in the frame.
Hook the frame to the top of the box, so you can open and close the cold frame. Put a few holes in the bottom of the cold frame. Put soil and plants in the frame. Leave it open when it is warm outside, and close it when it starts cooling off. It will keep the chill and frost off of the plants. -

Look online to find all of the free stuff to do where you live. You can go to museums, zoos, plays, movies, and local events for free if you hunt online. Businesses, churches, recreation centers and schools list their free stuff to attract more business and to help people find them, so take advantage of it.

Check out the link below to find free restaurant coupons, samples, and stuff. I'm constantly adding links to the page as I find them. Make sure you set up an email address for each person in your house, so each person can get the free food coupons. My husband and I ate out for free for about a week and a half using our coupons.
