Step 1
LIVING ROOM - Set an atmosphere of intimacy in your living room using a variety of scented and unscented candles. If you have a fireplace, you can decorate it with pillar candles, which are much easier to clean up than ashes from a fire. No fireplace? Create the intimacy of a fireplace, by arranging pillar candles in a tray on the coffee table.
An array of votive candles across the mantle is pretty and decorative. Add tapers to wallsconces or chandeliers. Be sure to use dripless candles to avoid a mess with wax. -
Step 2
DINING ROOM - Go for drama in the dining room with beautiful, dripless, taper candles. It is best to use unscented candles in the dining room to avoid clashing with the aromas of the food you serve. Clusters of candles make beautiful centerpieces in the dining room.

Step 3
KITCHEN - The kitchen is the natural place for scented jar candles. Burn a scented candle that smells like chocolate or pumpkin pie. Fruit scents are nice for summer.
For a pretty breakfast table decoration, put three floating candles in a bowl of water. Small, decorative candles are pretty on the kitchen window sill. -
Step 4
BEDROOM - The bedroom is the perfect place for luxury candles. A variety of beautiful fragrances is available that will create an atmosphere of luxry and romance in your bedroom.

Step 5
BATHROOM - You are limited only by your imagination in the bathroom. Picture yourself in a luxurious bubble bath, bathed in candlelight. Scented jar candles can grace the vanity or back of the toilet. Line the edge of the bathtub with tiny tea lights, or votives if you have more room. A cluster of pillar candles can be beautiful if you have room on your vanity or on a ledge near the bathtub.
