Instructions

    • 1

Soak your hair in tomato juice to neutralize any green or orange tinges. Chilled tomato juice works best. You should soak your hair for a minimum of 20 minutes to an hour. Massage your scalp gently during the soak to absorb the vitamin C and the alkali power of the juice.

Saturate your hair with mineral oil to remove any unwanted red tones. Mineral oil also helps to repair the damage done to the hair cuticle from the dye's harsh chemicals, so make sure you sit for 20 minutes to an hour before washing it. Cover in plastic wrap and sit under a hair dryer or in a hot shower.

Purchase a great deep conditioner and start using it every other day. Use olive oil for a natural alternative. Leave the conditioner on your hair in a warm, damp room for at least 30 minutes. This might seem long, but your hair will be softer and shinier.

Tips & Warnings

  • Take hair vitamins that will improve the health of your hair such as Vitamin B, B-6 and C. Some stores sell these vitamins in one pill and market it as a "hair vitamin." Take these daily. They won't work miracles but they will definitely make your hair stronger and grow as fast as genetically possible. Stop washing your hair in hot water. Use warm, or better yet, cool water. Hot water will just continue to fry your hair.

  • If your hair dye mistakes occurred in a salon, return to the stylist immediately. Any reputable salon should fix their blunders for free and in a timely fashion. You are most likely not a hair care professional. If your hair dye mistake is too unmanageable always defer to an expert.
