How to Configure UT 300R2u
The UT300R2U is a broadband router from UTStarcom. Through an Internet Service Provider (ISP), the UT300R2U will connect your PC to the Internet. You can configure the router using the utility that comes on the accompanying CD, or you can access the router with HTTP protocol through a Web-based control panel via your Web browser.

Open your Web browser. Type "192.168.1.1" into the address field, then hit "Enter." If you're using a USB connection instead of Ethernet, the address is "192.168.1.2."

Type "admin" in both the User name and Password fields. Click "OK."

Click "Run Wizard" on the UTStarcom Home page.

Enter the configuration information given you by your ISP for ATM Interface, VPI/VCI and Virtual Circuit. Select the appropriate WAN address method. The address method is usually PPPoE if you have DSL broadband. If your ISP did not give specific values for these settings, leave them at default.

Enter the username and password in the PPPoE section that was assigned to you by your ISP. Enter or change other configuration settings in this section that were given you by your ISP. If your ISP did not give specific values for these settings, leave them at default. Click "Apply."

Click "Tools." Click "Misc.." Click "Save and Reboot."

Click "Status" after the router reboots and the configuration screen automatically relaunches. Verify a valid DSL connection is present. A green button will appear for Connection in the WAN section of the Status page.

Close the Web browser.
