Yogurt is a healthy and creamy dairy product that many are familiar with. Making your own homemade strawberry yogurt allows you to include extra ingredients that store-bought brands might not have. However, making the base product of yogurt is an extremely difficult process, so the majority of strawberry yogurt recipes call for purchasing plain yogurt in order to save time and money.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 5 to 8 fresh strawberries
  • 18 oz. yogurt
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 2 tbsp. honey
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp. custard powder
  • Large frying pan
  • Blender
  • Small bowl
  • Container
  • Spoon
  1. Step 1

Add 1/4 cup of milk, two tablespoons of sugar and one tablespoon of custard powder to a large frying pan. Cook on medium-high heat for ten minutes or until the mixture thickens. Stir the mixture continuously while cooking.

  2. Step 2

Set the pan aside from the heat once the mixture has thickened. Let the mixture cool for five minutes. Using a spoon, crush about five strawberries into a small bowl.

  3. Step 3

Add the cooked mixture, 18 fluid ounces of plain yogurt, a half-cup of the crushed strawberries and two tablespoons of pure honey to a blender.

  4. Step 4

Blend the yogurt mixture until it is a fine paste or reaches the desired consistency. Taste the yogurt while it's in the blender to see if you want to add a small amount more of sugar.

  5. Step 5

Store the mixture in a container in your refrigerator for two hours or more. Serve cold and garnish the yogurt with any leftover strawberries you have.
