Killing fleas can be a difficult thing to do, especially if you want to get rid of fleas without using chemicals. However, it is easy to learn how to get rid of fleas naturally, and to control fleas without using harsh chemicals.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Dichotomous Earth
  • Vaccum
  1. Step 1

Vacuum your house carefully and thoroughly. Make sure you vacuum furniture, mattresses and any other places where fleas can be hiding. Although those pesky fleas may have made themselves at home, this is not the fleas house and you need to make sure you remove them from wherever they are. Wash your linens as well, since a flea infestation means the linens might have fleas in them as well.

  2. Step 2

Bath your dog or cat or other animals that might have brought the fleas home. You can't get rid of a flea infestation without making sure your pets are rid of fleas. If necessary, use a little bit of Dawn Dishwashing liquid when bathing your pets, because Dawn is good for killing fleas without hurting your pets.

  3. Step 3

Apply dichotomous earth to the carpets and to your pets. This is a natural substance that has fossilized algae remains. The hard shells of dichotomous earth destroy the exoskeleton of the fleas, killing fleas immediately. The dichotomous earth is completely healthy for humans, and is actually used in some food (like flour) to keep insects out. Make sure you use food grade dichotomous earth and not swimming pool grade.
