How to Make a Seven-Layer Dip
Seven-layer dip is a real crowd-pleaser. This dip is thick, hearty and full of flavor. It's easy to pull together and travels well if you make it in a casserole dish. Make this for a game-watching party or just a fun get-together at work or church. For a vegetarian version, substitute whole black beans and corn for the ground beef layer. Things You'll Need
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 can refried beans
- 16 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
- 8 ounces sour cream
- 1 cup guacamole
- 1 cup salsa
- 1/2 cup black olives, chopped
- 1/2 cup green onions
- 1/2 cup diced jarred jalapeno

Brown the ground beef in a saute pan over medium-high heat. Drain the grease and then put the ground beef in the refrigerator to cool.

Spread the refried beans in the bottom of a 9-by-13 glass cooking dish.

Spread the cooled ground beef evenly over the refried beans.

Sprinkle on a layer of shredded cheddar cheese.

Smooth the sour cream over the cheese and then spread the guacamole over the sour cream.

Spoon out the salsa in a thin layer over the guacamole.

Sprinkle the top of the seven-layer dip with the chopped black olives, chopped jalapeno and chopped green onion.
