How to Delete Browsing History in Internet Explorer

Often it is prudent to delete browsing history from your Internet activity. This is especially true when you share a computer with others or you conduct personal or financial business on the Internet with your computer. Protect your privacy and keep your information secure by deleting your browsing history. When you browse the Internet using Internet Explorer, the steps necessary to delete browsing history will take only a moment or two.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Open your Internet Explorer browser.

  2. Step 2

    Select the "Tools" tab at the top of the Internet Explorer browser.

  3. Step 3

    Choose "Delete Browsing History" from the options presented in the drop-down menu that appears. You may delete individual portions of your browsing history by clicking specific boxes beside each option or you may delete everything by selecting "Delete All."

  4. Step 4

    Confirm that you do want to delete your browsing history when you are asked.

  5. Step 5

    Select "Close" to complete the process.
