Bobby pins can allow you to fix your hairstyle before heading to work or going out to dinner with friends. These pins can be an alternative to simply pulling your hair back. One reason you may choose to use bobby pins is that you can easily store them in your purse or bag, allowing you to fix your hair while away from home. Bobby pins also come in different colors, giving you the option of matching the pins with your natural hair color.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Bobby pins
  • Medium-hold hair spray
  1. Step 1

Decide whether you would like to wear your hair half-up, all up of just pinned away in sections in the front. Any of these options will be a quick fix to your hairstyle.

  2. Step 2

Brush your hair to smooth any sections that may be tangled. It is important before beginning any style to brush your hair, as the final look will appear more finished. The only instance where you would not brush out your hair would be if your hair is naturally curly. In this case, it is easier to style if you leave your hair in its natural texture.

  3. Step 3

Start to twist sections away from your face. Twisting the hair prior to pinning it will create a stronger hold for the bobby pins.

  4. Step 4

Secure the twist to your hair with one or two bobby pins. If you use two, you may choose to criss-cross them as this will better secure the style.

  5. Step 5

Continue to twist and pin sections back based on how much hair you've decided to pin back.

  6. Step 6

Stand in front of a mirror and observe your style. You may need to remove and redo certain sections as you go.

  7. Step 7

Mist the hair spray lightly over your head to secure your style.
