      Stand up straight. When you do not stand up straight, you are putting inches where they normally are not. As you slump over, you lose inches in height and those inches tend to appear around your midsection, making you look shorter and wider. Practice good posture everyday and be more aware of it. Not only is this important for you looking thinner, but it also can helps ease back pain, shoulder pain and headaches.

      Give your hairstyle a lift. Mist your damp hair with some sea spray. There are many brands of this available. Then coil large sections of your hair and secure them to your head using bobby pins. Allow your hair to dry naturally, or speed it up using your blow dryer, and take the curls down. Finger comb the curls; do not brush. Spray with hairspray to set the curls. If you wear your hair longer, use a side part or layers.

      Apply luminizer all over your legs. When the light hits your legs, it helps make them shine and look longer and leaner. If you do not have luminizer on hand, make your own. Apply lotion to your legs then dust on a light coat of shimmery face powder or light-colored eye shadow over your shinbone to create the look.

      Use a shimmering body wash in the shower, then gently pat your skin dry. Use a bronzer on any area you would like to create a slimming effect. You can do this on your arms, legs, neck or wherever.
