How to Get a Forum Post Written About You Removed on Topix

Topix is a news aggregation website that provides a forum to discuss local news for every ZIP code in the United States. These forums are not moderated and don't require users to register before posting, a situation that has led to lawsuits against the site and users of the site over defamatory postings. If you are the subject of a Topix forum post, you can request that it be reviewed by a moderator, who will remove it if it is found to be in violation of the site's posting guidelines.

Instructions

1. Open a Web browser, and navigate to the Topix post that you want removed.

2. Click "Report Abuse," then click "Send Feedback." The feedback form opens in a pop-up window. The type of feedback and permanent link to the post are automatically filled in.

3. Fill out the form with your name, telephone number and email address. Your name and telephone number are not mandatory, but an email address is required.

4. Enter the reason that you want the post removed. If Topix determines that the post is in violation of the site's terms of service, it will be deleted.
