Medicaid is a program designed to help assist some individuals who can't afford to pay for medical care. Medicaid services in Florida are administered by the Agency for Health Care Administration. People who may be eligible includes pregnant women and children living under the federal poverty level, supplemental security income recipients, aged and/or disabled individuals not currently receiving supplemental security income, and other groups as determined by the state of Florida.

Instructions

1. 

   To apply for Medicaid, go to:
   http://www.myflorida.com/accessflorida

2. 

   Look for "APPLY FOR BENEFITS" and select.

   Click "CONTINUE" on the next page.

   Click "APPLY ON-LINE FOR FOODSTAMPS, CASH ASSISTANCE, AND MEDICAID".

   Start the application by clicking on "FOR BENEFITS" then "CONTINUE".

   Next, select whom you are applying for.

   Check the box next to "MEDICAID", when completed click "CONTINUE" at the bottom of the page.

   On the next page you will be given an "ACCESS ONLINE NUMBER". Be sure to write this number down.

   Next, create a password.

   Your "ACCESS ONLINE NUMBER" and "PASSWORD" will be used to complete an unfinished application, or to return for any reason.

   Click, "CONTINUE".

4. 

   Next, you will need to complete the "APPLICATION INFORMATION" with your personal information and submit.
