This simple guide walks you through the steps of how to bake oatmeal biscuits for your dog. Follow these steps and your will have one happy dog!!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3 cups whole wheat flour 1 cup water 1 cup evaporated milk 1/4 cup molasses 6 Tbs. margarine (or butter) 1/2 cup wheat germ 3 cups oatmeal (uncooked)
  1. Step 1

    Soften the margarine or butter to room temperature.

  2. Step 2

    In a large bowl combine the whole wheat flour with the water and evaporated milk. Mix very well.

  3. Step 3

    Add to the mixture the molasses, margarine (or butter,) wheat germ, and uncooked oatmeal. I like to use toasted wheat germ and rolled oatmeal, but any kind should work fine. Mix well. The dough should be stiff.

  4. Step 4

    Chill the dough in the refrigerator for a half hour.

  5. Step 5

    Preheat your oven to 300 degrees. Grease a baking sheet.

  6. Step 6

    Take rounded teaspoons full of the dough and place them on a greased baking sheet. Flatten and shape each biscuit.

  7. Step 7
    Waiting, waiting,waiting.
    Waiting, waiting,waiting.

    Bake for 60 minutes. Cool. Store then in a covered jar or in the refrigerator.

    Give one to your dog!
