How to Fold a Paper Brochure
Also called a leaflet or a pamphlet, the paper brochure is a staple in advertising because it is cost-effective and easy to distribute. Three basic types of paper brochure folds exist: the single fold, the double fold and the accordion fold. The single fold offers wider pages but only four panels, while the double and accordion folds offer six narrower panels.

The Single Fold Paper Brochure

Print out a pamphlet sheet. Be sure there are two even columns separated by a gap that splits the landscape-oriented paper vertically.

Place the paper brochure on a table with a landscape orientation. Fold it in half so the corners match up with each other and the first and last pages of the pamphlet are on the outside surface.

Crease the fold while holding the corners in place.
The Double Fold Paper Brochure

Print out a pamphlet sheet. Be sure there are three even columns separated by two gaps that split the landscape-oriented paper vertically.

Place the paper brochure on a table with a landscape orientation, making sure the first panel is facing down on the left side. Refer to the picture in Step 1 for section numbers. Fold section 3 onto section 2 until the overlapping portion is slightly narrower than the nonoverlapping portion of section 1. Crease the fold on the right side of the pamphlet.

Unfold the right side of the brochure. Fold section 1 over until the left edge is adjacent to the crease made in Step 2. Crease the fold on the left side of the pamphlet.

Unfold the left and re-fold section 3. Re-fold section 1 on top of the right to complete the process.
The Accordion Fold Paper Brochure

Print out a pamphlet sheet. Be sure there are three even columns separated by two gaps that split the landscape-oriented paper vertically.

Place the pamphlet on a table with a landscape orientation with the first panel facing down on the left side. Refer to the picture in Step 1 for section numbers.

Fold section 1 over so that the left edge bisects the other two-thirds of the paper. Crease the fold on the left side.

Flip over the brochure and fold the remaining edge over until its corners overlap the crease from step 3; that is, fold section 3 on top of section 2.
