Chocolate ice cream

Ice cream or ice-cream is a frozen dessert usually made from dairy products, such as cream and milk, combined with fruits or other ingredients and flavors like in this case chocolate. Most varieties contain sugar or other sweeteners. In some ice creams artificial flavors and colorings are used in addition to (or for replacement of) the natural ingredients. This mixture is stirred slowly while freezing to prevent chunks of ice from forming; the result is a smoothly textured ice cream.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 cup of whole milk
  • 1/2 granulated sugar
  • 8 ounces of semi-sweet or bittersweet chocolate, broken into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • Cuisinart ice cream maker
  1. Step 1

First heat the whole milk until it's bubbling just on the edges. You can do this on a stove top or a microwave.

  2. Step 2

Next in a blender or food processor fitted with a metal blade mix to process the sugar with the chocolate until the chocolate is finely chopped. Add the warmed milk, process until very smooth.

  3. Step 3

Move everything into a medium sized bowl and let the chocolate mixture get completely cooled. Stir in the vanilla and heavy cream for the taste. Let it chill for about 30 minutes.

  4. Step 4

Turn the ice cream maker on and pour the mixture into the freezer bowl through ingredient and let it mix until thick, about 25-30 minutes

  5. Step 5

Now you have a nice bowl of homemade chocolate ice cream so go sit down and eat your ice cream like the world will never end. In other words Enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • Freezer bowl must be completely frozen before you make the ice cream.
