How to Print Waterproof Labels
Printing labels on your home or office printer is quick, easy and inexpensive. You can print on a variety of label bases, including on paper that is waterproof. Waterproof labels are made of thick polyester material that does not tear easily. The labels are perfect for jars containing liquids and items exposed to outdoor elements. Waterproof labels are available for both inkjet and laser printers --- all you need to do is load them into your printer and print.

1
Purchase waterproof labels at your local office supply store or from the Internet. See the Resources section below for links to online websites that sell waterproof labels. Make sure you get the type designed for your printer --- inkjet or laser.
-
2
Open the label package and fan the labels so they will feed correctly through your printer. Load the labels into your printer in the right direction, usually face down. Print a "test page" to make sure they have been loaded properly.

Open Microsoft Word or another word processing program, navigate to "Labels and Envelopes" and click on "Labels." Then enter the information you want printed on the label(s).

Select the label type and size and the number of labels per page. If an "Avery Number" is available on your label package, look for that number in your "Labels and Envelopes" setup. Then select if you want to print the text on just one label or on all the labels on the page.
