Stop annoying MMS messages from infiltrating your BlackBerry.

Text messaging is yet another outlet advertisers use to try and get their product in your face. If you are receiving too many MMS messages on your BlackBerry trying to sell you the latest ... whatever ... block the messages before they have a chance to bother you on your phone.

Things You'll Need

  • Blackberry with 4.5 + OS

Instructions

    • 1

Tap "Options" from your BlackBerry's Home screen.

    • 2

      Tap "MMS."

    • 3

Go to the Message Filtering section and place a check in the following check boxes:
      -- Reject Anonymous Messages
      -- Reject Advertisements

    • 4

Press your BlackBerry's "Menu" key and tap "Save."

Tips & Warnings

  • You do not necessarily have to select the "Reject Anonymous Message" check box to stop advertising. This just adds an extra layer of protection and refuses any MMS message from somebody other than a known contact.

  • If you are using your company's email, do NOT block Enterprise Mail

  • If you are using web-based email, do NOT block Blackberry Internet Service

  • You can see how many messages were blocked, but you can NOT see who sent them.
