How to Send an SMS Text Message Via Email
Many mobile carriers allow users to send SMS text messages to cell phones via email. In order to do so, all you need is the recipient's 10-digit phone number and their mobile carrier's free email to SMS gateway.

- Internet connection
- Email account
- Know the recipient's wireless carrier service

If the recipient's carrier is AT&T, simply type the recipient's 10-digit phone number followed by "@txt.att.net" into the "To" box of your email. Fill in the subject line, if you so choose, and type your message into the message box. Click "Send."

If the recipient's carrier is Verizon, type the recipient's 10-digit phone number followed by "@vtext.com" into the "To" box of your email. Type your message and subject line, then click "Send."

If the recipient's carrier is T-Mobile USA, type the recipient's 10-digit phone number followed by "@tmomail.net" into the "To" box of your email. Type your message and subject line, then click "Send."

If the recipient's carrier is Sprint, type the recipient's 10-digit phone number followed by "@messaging.sprintpcs.com" into the "To" box of your email. Type your message and subject line, then click "Send."
