Instructions

      Project 1: Flower Pail Centerpiece
Take a painted metal pail. Use a Styrofoam block for faux flowers or florist's oasis foam (soak it with water) for fresh flowers, and cut to fit just inside your pail. Arrange your flowers from center to edge; make sure you fill the whole pail so that the arrangement looks abundant. Finish by tying your ribbon around the middle of the pail, ending in a large bow. Place in the center of your table. Use a coordinated tablecloth or table runner to complete the table.

Project 2: Stacked Gift Box Tower
Start by laying two equal lengths of ribbon flat on the table in a cross pattern. Next, stack the decorative boxes on the center of the ribbon from large to smallest (smallest on top) to form a tower. You can also use round boxes. If you use square boxes, you can angle them (see photo) as you stack.
Now bring the ends of the ribbon up to the top, tie a tight knot and finish by tying a large bow. For an added touch, tuck in tiny fresh flowers, or sprinkle the tower and table with glitter or Mylar confetti.

      Project 3: Festive Topiary Centerpiece
Start with a plain topiary tree. Cut your satin ribbon into 4-inch lengths. Tie each ribbon at random points on the branches near the trunk of the tree, making sure the knot is not visible on the outside of the foliage. Next, attach tiny charms (for a birthday or baby shower) or tiny glass ornaments (for Christmas or winter parties) wherever there are no ribbons. Place in the center of the table and sprinkle with silver or gold Mylar star confetti.

Project 4: Elegant Candlelit Blossom Bowl
Fill a large decorative shallow bowl halfway with fresh water and place it on your table. Next, add fresh blossoms with the stems completely cut off. Do not begin this project more than 2 hours before your event, as the flowers will last only 4 to 5 hours. Now place the floating candles among the blossoms. Do not light until just before your party; again, the candles only burn for a few hours.
This is a great centerpiece for a dinner party or buffet. Note: If you're having a party with small children, choose a different centerpiece, as children are attracted to both the water and the candles.
