Using a hair color glaze can perk up your hair color without a drastic change. Hair color glaze can also help your hair color last until you color it next. Here's how to make a hair color glaze-

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Applicator bottle- large
  • Box of hair color
  • Conditioner
  • Shampoo
  1. Step 1

Wash your hair the day before, but do not condition it or use styling products on it.

  2. Step 2

Fill the applicator bottle half-full with the conditioner. Add one tablespoon of shampoo.

  3. Step 3

Open the color gel bottle and empty into the conditioner. Open the color developer creme and empty into the conditioner. Add any included aroma oils. Mix and shake well. For very short hair, you can use 1/3 of the developer and the color gel, for long hair you'll need half the box.
See the link to how to store unused hair color below, before mixing.

  4. Step 4

Apply the hair color glaze according to the directions on your hair color box, and set your timer.

  5. Step 5

For just a hint of color and brightness, cut back the recommended time by 5-15 minutes. For more color, leave on for the recommended amount of time. Rinse hair, but do not wash for at least 24 hours.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not use hair glaze more than once a month if regularly coloring hair.
  • Do not store mixed hair color- the chemical reaction will cause the bottle to burst.
