Open your computer Control Panel. Click on the "Start" icon in the lower left corner of your computer screen on its taskbar. Select the Control Panel tab folder link within the Start drop down list.

Access the computer's "Device Manager" folder within the Control Panel. When the Control Panel opens, click on the System and Maintenance icon or thumbnail image. The Device Manager folder should be listed as a System and Maintenance subfolder. Click on its link within the folder to access its contents. Locate and select the Toshiba Bluetooth component within the list of your computer's installed drivers and other components. You see a list of installed drivers, internal components, and USB hubs for your computer when the Device Manager opens. Click on your PC or laptop tab at the top of the list. Locate the "Bluetooth" tab within the list to collapse its menu and view its contents.

Uninstall the Toshiba Bluetooth component. Right-click on the "Bluetooth Drivers" tab within the Bluetooth collapse menu. Select the "Uninstall" action. A removal wizard will appear on your screen, prompting you to confirm whether you'd like to carry out the action or not. Click "Next" or "Continue" to proceed. (This action may have different wording, depending on your computer and operating system.) Follow the prompts within the removal wizard to remove the Toshiba Bluetooth component.

Restart your computer once the Toshiba Bluetooth component has been deleted from your computer. Your computer will display an indication when the removal process is complete. The Bluetooth capability of this computer is great for uploading pictures from my cell phone without incurring message costs, but has drastically slashed my battery life from a once enviable 4 or 5 hours to barely 2. This happened only when I began to use the feature. I had to go through a number of steps to enable this functionality at the time. How do I disable it but retain the option of using it in the future?
