How to Remove Powerreg Scheduler.exe

Powerreg Scheduler.exe is a spyware program that appears to be a normal scheduling program, but actually causes pop-up advertisements to appear on your computer, as well as collecting your private information. This program may also slow down the operation of your computer, and, if not removed, could combine with similar programs to cause system crashes.

Instructions

    • 1

Visit a website that has free anti-spyware software available for download. An example is "Spybot:Search and Destroy" (see Resources).

    • 2

Download and install the software on your computer by activating the installation file once it downloads.

    • 3

Begin the program by double-clicking the shortcut icon on your desktop.

    • 4

Update the program by clicking "Search for updates" and then clicking the "Download" button. This will ensure your program has the most recent information on spyware.

    • 5

Click on the "Check for Problems" button to search your computer for potential threats, such as Powerreg Scheduler. After the scan completes, click "Fix Selected Problems" to delete the spyware from your computer.

Tips & Warnings

  • Manually deleting only the Powerreg Scheduler.exe file will often not be effective enough; it is better to use an actual anti-spyware program.
