How to Install Dazzle Video Creator
-
1
Load the Dazzle Video Creator installation disks into the DVD/CD-ROM drive on your computer. As long as you have AutoRun enabled on your DVD/CD-ROM drive, the Dazzle software will load automatically. Before it loads, the program will prompt you to type in the serial numbers on the back of the installation CDs package. The Dazzle menus will tell you when the software has finished loading.

While the software is loading, inspect the contents of your Dazzle package. Depending on the type of Dazzle you purchased, you should have three DVDs: DVD Recorder for transferring straight from your source footage to DVD; Pinnacle Studio, a simple video editing program; and a QuickStart tutorial DVD. You will want to load all three disks to take advantage of this powerful multimedia tool and have access to Pinnacle upgrades.

Tips & Warnings
Pinnacle is constantly updating and upgrading this suite of software and hardware products. They also have an AVID knowledge base and a forum for specific questions about your Dazzle product (see Resources below). AVID is a professional digital video company that purchased Pinnacle Systems in 2005.
External hardware devices that transfer video are notoriously difficult when connecting to your computer (even for professionals). If you've installed everything correctly, don't despair if your Dazzle software doesn't "see" your video or audio the first time. It may take a computer restart or a reconnection of the Dazzle device. Also, update your software periodically at the Pinnacle site to make sure you have the latest upgrades.
