How to make your jewelry sparkle and shine.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1
    Emerald Jewelry

Jewelry has been around for thousands of years and continues to be popular among Americans. Jewelry can last several years and it must be cared for appropriately to keep its original shine and luster. There are jewelry cleaners that contain some harsh chemicals and they can be purchased for about $5. I found an excellent alternative to jewelry cleaners that makes jewelry sparkle.

  2. Step 2
    Gold Earings

I was fooling around one day with some household products used everyday toothpaste, and baking soda. After accidentally spilling the mint-flavored paste on an emerald ring I noticed that it seemed to have an awesome glow and shine. After washing all the toothpaste off the ring it looked like new.

  3. Step 3

A few weeks later, I added some baking soda to my toothpaste and placed it in a cup with some luke warm water. After about 10 minutes I rinsed the ring and dried it with a tissue. The combination of the baking soda and toothpaste produces a radiant shine. There is really no need to purchase harsh chemical jewelry cleaners when you have the solution right in your medicine cabinet.
