Things You'll Need:
- 2 Siege Engines w/ gunners
- 2 Demolishers w/ gunners
- Rest of the raid in Bikes
-
Step 1
Fight your way to him. Once your raid is mounted in their vehicles, you will need to clear a lot of trash to reach Flame Leviathan. Destroy all the towers on the way, as each spawns more Iron Dwarves. You will also see four towers, named after other bosses in Ulduar. Ignore these unless you want to fight FL in Hard Mode (destroying each tower gives FL a new gimmick to use against you.)
-
Step 2
Pull the trash at the end. Pull the mobs in front of the Colossi, then pull one Colossus at a time. Do not pull the second Colossus until you are ready to fight Flame Leviathan. Use the Repair Pads at the end of the causeway to repair your vehicles before you start the fight.
-
Step 3
Dispell the Flame Jets. One of Flame Leviathan’s most dangerous attacks is his “Flame Jets” attack. This is an Area of Effect (AoE) attack that is very powerful. It can be interrupted by a Siege Engine’s Shock attack. Have one or both of the Siege Engines follow FL at all times and keep Shock at the ready so Flame Jets can be interrupted immediately.
-
Step 4
Shoot down the Pyrite. Look up. See those helicopters carrying blue tubes? Those are Pyrite, and they are ammunition for the Demolishers. Collecting them allows the Demolishers to add a devastating fire debuff to FL. Siege Engine gunners should concentrate on shooting these down for the entirety of the fight.
-
Step 5
Run away! Flame Leviathan will pick a random vehicle to follow. Kite him in a single direction (either clockwise or counter-clockwise. Both work, but stick with one direction to avoid confusion) and chase them around for several seconds. Siege Engines should use their Boost ability to gain some distance. Note that it is important to kill Flame Leviathan as quickly as possible. The longer he lives, the faster he gets. Eventually, it will be impossible to outrun him, and he will destroy all your vehicles in short order.
-
Step 6
Burn him down. Keeping a full stack of Pyrite burning, interrupting Flame Jets and keeping constant damage on Flame Leviathan almost always ensures an easy kill.
