How to make a Horse on a Stick, a good toy for older toddlers (a few of the steps may cause a choking hazard). This is a perfect activity for children four and up, however would require adult supervision.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Broomstick Handle or PVC piping
  • A bag of stuffing
  • A heavy sock
  • Any color of yarn
  • Glue
  • A pair of googly-eyes
  • Scissors
  • Felt (optional)
  1. Step 1

First, fill the sock full of stuffing, the more the better. Leave enough room to be able to insert the PVC or Broom handle into the heel of the sock.

  2. Step 2

Time to get creative! Glue the googly-eyes unto the toe part of the sock. You can also add felt nostrils. Glue any color string to the top of the horses head for hair.

  3. Step 3

Now it's time to add the horses 'face' unto his body. Insert the broomstick or PVC into the sock. Continue to put stuffing in the sock, around spaces left after inserting the body.

  4. Step 4

Now, tie the sock in place. If the sock slides, use glue to help keep it in place.

  5. Step 5

Last, add hair to the horse if you wish.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure the eyes do not fall off - they could be a possible choking hazard.
