      Proper laundry washing can prevent the spread of Lice.

      Wash bed linens in hot soapy water regularly. Dry bed linens in the dryer on a hot cycle. Launder window curtains according to the manufactures instructions. Having a clean environment does not allow the lice to make a home.

      Daily vacuuming of carpeted and non-carpeted floors can reduce the spread of lice.

      Vacuum any carpet areas in your home several times a week or daily if that is realistic to your daily routine. Change the vacuum bad according to the manufactures recommendations or when the bag is full.
