Make a Natural Shampoo
Make a Natural Shampoo

Do you ever wonder if your store bought shampoo is bad for your health? The chemicals in shampoo burn your eyes and dry out your skin. Store bought shampoos are made from harmful chemicals that are being absorbed into your body. You may be wondering if you can get the same results from organic shampoo. You can have clean, manageable, shiny hair that will smell like your favorite scent. Making shampoo at home is fun and easy. When you use all natural ingredients, and stop worrying about what is inside the bottle.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • 3 tablespoons of honey
  • 4 tablespoons of castile soap
  • essential oils of your choice (4 or 5 drops will do)
  1. Step 1

Choose your essential oils to fit your haircare needs. If your scalp is dry or you need to control dandruff, I recommend Tea Tree Oil. Lavender not only smells great, it controls oil. Lemon grass adds shine. For an all around shampoo, use each one. Castile soap is all natural and can be found at any health food store.

  2. Step 2

Combine all of your ingredients including 1/2 cup of castile soap and your choice of essential oils. Add 1/2 cup of warm water and mix well. Honey serves as a wonderful hair conditioner. It's OK to mix it in your shampoo, this makes it a shampoo and conditioner in one. If you make a large batch of shampoo, store it in a cool dark place.

  3. Step 3

Apply to wet hair, it will not feel like store bought shampoo. Rinse completely with plenty of warm water. Style as usual. Enjoy, knowing you can have the same results without poisoning your body.

Tips & Warnings
