Oils are a natural way to promote hair growth and are packed full of vitamin E, the vitamin responsible for providing nutrients to the hair and nails. Some of the beneficial oils include grapeseed, olive, peppermint and jojoba. Incorporating them into your hair care regimen is how you'll make your hair grow faster.

Instructions

    Healthy Hair

  1. Step 1

Give your hair a hot oil treatment. Olive, jojoba and grapeseed oil promote growth when heated and used as a conditioning treatment. Heat 3 tablespoons of oil in the microwave for a minute or until warm. Thoroughly work the oil through your hair. Wrap a warm towel around your head and leave it on for 30 minutes. Afterward, rinse and wash your hair as you normally would. Weekly hot oil treatments will speed up hair growth.

  2. Step 2

Use the oil as a finishing product. While styling your hair, massage a dime-size amount of olive or jojoba oil into your scalp and hair.

  3. Step 3

Add oil to your shampoo regimen. By mixing in a tablespoon of oil to your daily hair wash, you'll improve the quality of your hair and speed up the process of new growth. Peppermint oil will give you better results when mixed in with your current shampoos and conditioners, because it's more potent than the other oils.

Tips & Warnings
  • Applying a dab of oil to the ends of your hair helps prevent split ends. Split ends can travel up the hair root and prolong the development of new growth. Leave the hot oil treatment in your hair for up to 30 minutes to guarantee absorption.
  • Test the temperature of the oil before applying it to your scalp. It can burn your scalp if it's too hot.
