Mohawks are a popular hairstyle right now. For those of use who are not ready to shave our hair off for an authentic look can create a cornrow version of the style for the same striking look!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Fine toothed comb
  • small rubberbands
  • a flat iron or rollers
  1. Step 1

Part off 1/3 section of hair down the center of your head, this will be your Mohawk, so the width of this section should be based on your own preference.

  2. Step 2

Put this section of hair into two pony tails to keep it of the way.

  3. Step 3

With the hair left begin your cornrows by parting a small section straight across your head vertically. Cornrow this section tightly and place a rubber band on the end to hold it together, leaving the end of the cornrow loose to blend with the Mohawk.

  4. Step 4

Under your first cornrow part another section and repeat the previous step.

  5. Step 5

Continue this process on both sides.

  6. Step 6

Once both sides are cornrowed, part the front section of your Mohawk and flat iron it to create a loose curl. Continue this with the rest of your hair. You can also use rollers to create a Mohawk with more volume.
