How to Remove HelpSvc EXE
helpsvc.exe is the executable process of the Microsoft Help and Support Center service feature. It comes installed as a default on Windows operating systems and launches automatically when you start your computer. It has been know to consume great amounts of CPU memory when it's running and slows down computer speed. Because it is a system process, it poses no security risks and can be disabled and removed from the startup if you have no use for it.

Open the Windows Task Manager by pressing "Ctrl," "Alt," and "Delete" together. Click the "Processes" tab to show the currently running programs.

Scroll down and click "HelpSvc.exe." Click "End Process" to terminate this program. HelpSvc.exe a great deal of CPU memory and should be terminated before disabling and removing from startup.

Click the Windows "Start" button and right-click "My Computer." Click "Manage" to open the Computer Management window.

Click "Services and Applications" on the left panel and click "Services." Scroll through the right panel and double-click "Microsoft Help Center Service." Click "Disabled" in the "Startup-type" window. Click "OK" to save the changes. If you want to delete it, move to the next step.

Double-click "My computer" and double-click the "C:" Double-click the "WINDOWS" folder and double-click "PCHealth." Double-click "HelpCtr" and double-click "Binaries." Right-click "HelpSvc.exe" and click "Delete" to remove it.
