Step 1
First, determine how many Thank You cards you need to send out.
If you received lots of gift cards (or other gifts) the most economical choice is to buy a box of standard Thank You cards. If you are just writing a Thank You card for one or two gift cards you should consider buying individual Thank You cards. Most shopping centers have a card aisle that with Thank You cards that retail for less than one dollar a piece. -
Step 2
Start your Thank You card by addressing the recipient. It's always nice to personalize the card with a polite greeting.
Example:
"To my great friend,"
or
"Thanks to the world's best Aunt," -
Step 3
When filling out the Thank You card, make sure you tell the person what you are planning to use or have used the card to purchase.
Example:
"I used your gift card to buy decorations for the nursery."
or
"I look forward to using your gift card to buy a new interview suit."
This step will ensure the giver that the gift card was a great gift choice that you can or will use. -
Step 4
Always close your Thank You card with a simple "thanks" or "thank you" followed by your name.
Drop your card in the mail and you can be assured your appreciation is clear.
