      Configuration

Download and install mkv2vob. Start the program by double clicking on it. At the top of the program, there are three tabs "Add File," "Add Directory" and "Configuration." At the file splitting drop-down menu, select which split you would like. There are 7 different options when splitting. Choose automatic for the "Output File Extension." This will change the video/audio container without losing any quality. Most of the time it is changed into an MPG which is much more used in the computing world.

Click the "Add File" button, circled in red in image provided. This will begin the process. This will split the MKV into whichever size segments you went with in the "Configuration" tab, and it will also change the video/audio container into whichever one you choose it to. Once the process completes, your file will be split into your custom size, enabling you to move it onto whichever medium you want.

Tips & Warnings

  • Have fun with program, as it has many options worth tweaking. You can add subtitles to the video by selecting 'Load Subtitles from File'

  • This will change the file container. If you select 'Delete source file after conversion' your original MKV will be deleted after the process completes.
