How to Make a Paper Basketball Goal

Whether you're bored around the office or simply looking for a simple paper craft to work on, making a paper basketball hoop is a fun and fast activity. And with a few pieces of balled-up paper, it can provide a welcome source of entertainment. Thicker papers like construction paper work best with this design, though any paper will work in a pinch.

Things You'll Need

• A sheet of paper Tape

Instructions

1. 

   Grab a corner on the short side of the paper, and fold it down to meet the far edge of the paper.

2. 

   Unfold the paper and repeat Step 1 with the other corner on the same side of the paper.

3. 

   Unfold the paper and fold the top edge down, creasing along the point where the two corner folds intersect. The top of the paper should end up folding down to the end points of the corner folds.

4. 

   Unfold the paper again, then press the sides in, creasing the paper along the perpendicular fold to create a house-like shape, with triangular flaps on each of the roof-like sections.

5. 

   Bend the "roof" flaps in and tape one flap over the other to create your hoop.

6. 

   Fold the outsides of the paper in, creating a narrower house shape. These flaps can be used to keep the net standing.
