Follow Friday Increases Quality Followers

What is #followfriday on twitter? Every Friday, you’ll see thousands of people on Twitter using this phrase. Basically, it’s a great way to attract RELEVANT followers to you on twitter. Typically, if you recommend someone that you consider a valuable resource to your twitter followers; they’ll appreciate the recommendation and begin following you which can lead to their recommending you. Think of it as a powerful way to build your recognition while promoting other credible resources.

Twitter Account

Step 1

Login your twitter account at www.twitter.com
Step 2

Twitter Box

Go to you WHAT ARE YOU DOING? box at the top of twitter.

Click inside the box.

Nominate people who you think are worth following, remember this is about sharing resources and helping others. They will, in turn, share you!!
Step 3

First thing to enter is RT, it stands for Re-Tweet. That's asking everyone who receives your tweet to send it to their followers.

Next is to enter the REASON you recommend these people. Don't just send out recommendations, let others know their skills or why you think they are helpful or interesting to follow. As an example,

RT Great tips on how to use LinkedIn for your biz
RT Fun Mom's to follow with helpful insights
RT Industry leaders that are changing things for the better

After the REASON for following, add the tweet address followed by 2 or more people to follow:

RT Fun Mom's to follow with helpful insights @MagicalMom @trendytoddlers @crazykidz

The final step is very important. Add the hashtag (#) followed by FollowFriday to your tweet. The #FollowFriday can be used anywhere in your tweet:

It's the site of the original follow friday developers. You will see hundreds or even thousands of people who recommend good people to follow on Twitter and you can enter your posts from there.
