How to Play Sims 2 Castaway

The Sims 2: Castaway takes the Sims characters away from home and leaves them stranded on a desert isle. The castaways start their journey on a ship but after disaster strikes, they need to learn how to survive on the island until they can be rescued. Players need to create a shelter, care for their sims and solve puzzles to find a way off the island.

Instructions

1. Select a sim to take over the position of captain. This sim is the only one you can control immediately after the shipwreck occurs.

2. Assemble fifteen stones and place them in the shape of SOS, on the right side of your temporary home.

3. Collect any items you find along your journey. Grab wood and bottles when you see them.

4. Catch fish in the ocean or lakes using the fishing tools that you collect. Fruit is available on the island, but it will not fill the sims as well as fish and other food that has to be cooked.

5. Search for books on the island. These books will give you a list of objectives that you have to complete to unlock new items and progress in the game.

6. Open the Llama Temple by finding all of the hieroglyphics on the different islands. On Ship Wreck Island, look for the pieces at Deep Jungle, Ship wreck and Pier Beach. Go to Airplane Island and visit East River Planes, Dark Cave and Skull Rock Jungle for the next three pieces. Search South River Jungle, Geyser Plains and Volcano Jungle on the Volcano Island to find the last three pieces of hieroglyphics.

7. Explore the islands to find nine parts to a map. When the pieces are put together, they will lead you to Airplane Island and you will have to search for the shape of an X. When you get to the island, go right until you see a large rock. Push the rock to find the hidden treasure.

Tips & Warnings

• Keep your sims happy to progress in the game.

• If you don't give your sims the things they want, they will not collect items.
