Many glass cutters need oil to work effectively. This tutorial will show you how to add oil to your glass cutter whether you use the glass cutter for stained glass, fused glass or windows.

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Gather your glass cutter and oil. Here we are using a Toyo pistol grip glass cutters, but the process is the same for most glass cutters used for fused glass, stain glass and other glass art work.

  2. Step 2

    The Toyo pistol grip glass cutter has a knob at the end of the handle.

  3. Step 3

    Unscrew the knob of the Toyo pistol grip glass cutter.

  4. Step 4

    Set the knob of the Toyo pistol grip glass cutter aside.

  5. Step 5

    Add the oil until the compartment in the handle of the Toyo pistol grip glass cutter is almost fill. Once the compartment of the glass cutter is full, screw the knob back onto the cutter so that it is quite secure.

  6. Step 6

    Wipe the Toyo pistol grip glass cutter clean of any spilled or excess oil. Your cutter is ready to cut your glass to use in your stained glass and fused glass projects
