Clean a Leather Chamois

Soon after the car was invented, so was a new use for leather chamois. A leather chamois, also referred to as chamois leather, is naturally absorbable and is used to dry a car after washing. The oils found in a leather chamois also give a car a shine when finished, thus completing two tasks in one step. A leather chamois is usually made from sheep hides, although earlier versions were made from deer. A leather chamois should be cleaned after each use and will become hard after it dries. Before you use it again for your car, you will need to place it in clean water and wring out.
