    Instructions

    Things You'll Need

    • 1 to 2 lbs. pork or boneless chicken
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • Cajun seasoning
    • 1/2-cup Rice
    • 1 package Rice Sides from Lipton and Knorr (of your choice)
      • 1

Cut the boneless pork or chicken into cubes, and brown it in large pan, turning it once to brown on both sides. Season with salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning and add a little water so it doesn't burn the spices.

      • 2

Add a complete package of Rice Sides from Knorr and Lipton -- whichever one you choose. Add 1/2-cup of raw rice and 3-1/4 cups of water. Add more Cajun seasoning if you like it spicy.

      • 3

Stir to mix all ingredients and turn the heat down to a simmer. Let it cook for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the rice is cooked. Serve as a main dish or "dinner in a pot."

    Tips & Warnings

    • Rice Sides come in several different flavors, so there is some versatility to this recipe.

    • This recipe can be doubled or tripled if you cook for a large group.

    • You may want to use Tabasco Sauce instead of Cajun seasoning.

    • Be careful with Cajun seasoning; cayenne pepper is one of the base ingredients and it can be very hot.
