Instructions

  1. How to Make a Transformer Birthday Cake

    • 1

Put a thin layer of icing on the cake. This is called a "crumb coat," and it will make the cake easier to frost. Put the cake in the freezer for 15 minutes.

    • 2

Find and print out a picture of the Transformer logo while the cake is in the freezer. Use the website listed in the Resources. Enlarge the picture to fit the top of your cake.

    • 3

Lay the rice paper on top of the picture. Use the non-toxic crayon to trace the picture onto the rice paper. Check to make sure that you did not miss any part of the picture.

    • 4

Cut around the traced picture. Lay it on top of the cake in the center. The rice paper will dissolve into the frosting and will not affect the taste.

    • 5

Put black icing in the pastry bag and, using the round tip, trace the crayon outline. Write the birthday message above or below the picture using the color of your choice and the round tip.

    • 6

Fill in the logo using the star tip on the pastry bag. Use red icing or blue icing.

Tips & Warnings

  • Pipe a border around the cake with the star tip and the color that matches the logo.
