How to Install an HP LaserJet 1200
The LaserJet 1200 series is an enhanced printing device product introduced to the public by Hewlett-Packard Co. This printing device enables users to produce professional documents in high resolution color. The LaserJet 1200 is compatible with most up-to-date computer systems. You can easily install it, because it does not require a large amount manual labor or any previous hardware installation knowledge.

Set up the printer's hardware for installation. Plug the LaserJet 1200 power adapter into the back of the printing device itself and into your nearest power outlet. Plug the HP LaserJet 1200 USB adapter into the printer.

Insert the HP LaserJet1200 installation disc into your computer's CD-ROM drive. The computer will begin to run the disc for the installation process.

Accept the terms of the HP Software License Agreement. This will be the HP Printing Setup Wizard's introductory screen. Click "Yes" at the bottom of the screen to accept the terms and proceed to the Installation Mode screen.

Choose your installation mode. Select the "Traditional Mode" by clicking on its radio button to conduct the recommended setup and installation mode. Click "Install" to finalize your decision and advance to the next installation screen.

When prompted, connect the HP LaserJet 1200 USB adapter one of your computer's USB ports. The installation wizard then will automatically begin to search for the connection.

Click on the "Finish" action at the bottom of the printer setup screen to install the printer's files and components to your computer's hard drive. The progress of the installation will appear on your screen. Once this window disappears, the installation wizard will display a notification that the installation has been completed successfully.

Tips & Warnings
If you do not have the HP LaserJet 1200 installation disc, click on the HP LaserJet 1200 Software Driver link listed in the Resources section. This software driver link can serve as a software replacement for the actual disc. When this page loads, scroll to the bottom of the page and select your computer's operating system. The next page will display the software driver link that is comparable to your operating system.
You must read and review the software license agreement in order to conduct the full installation process successfully. If you do not comply with the software license agreement, the program will automatically abort the installation.
