Visit PokerStars.net and download their free software by clicking on their "Getting Started" link at the top of their page.

Open the Executable file, and utilize the easy-to-follow instructions to install the software.

PokerStars Application: The LobbyOpen the Poker Stars program and click on "Account" located within the title bar. This are is circled in blue in the picture provided.

Click on "Create Account," and follow the instructions. You must have access to a valid e-mail account to complete this step.

Check your e-mail account for a validation code that proves to Poker Stars that you are a human user.

Enter this validation code into the Poker Stars application by clicking on "Account," and then "Validate Email Address."

Login to your Poker Stars account with the information you entered in step #4 by clicking on "Lobby," and then "Login."

Choose a style of game play from the lobby. It's highlighted with the yellow square in the first picture.

Sort the tables of any game by noticing the different tabs that pop up. Refining your search according to the number of players, for instance, is accomplished by clicking the "Plrs" tab, and will help you isolate a game you are comfortable playing.

Double click on a table name, and click on an "Open Seat."

Choose your starting chip amount and you are in the game.

Study the second picture in step 10 of the poker table. Most of your game play will hover around the area near the blue square in the lower left hand corner.

Notice the blue arrows, which indicate locations where you can leave the table, view the lobby, or study other stats about your game play. Also, take note of the black circle, in the lower left. It provides a location for you to adjust your betting amounts.

Utilize the check boxes inside the green square to make decisions early, and keep the game moving along.

Watch the size of the pot, circled in yellow, and use that to justify your betting amounts during the different rounds of play.
