Step 1
Use a spray lubricant such as WD-40 to remove crayons or gum from your dryer drum. First, scrape off as much as you can with a plastic spatula. Spray a damp rag with lubricant and wipe the crayon or gum, making sure none of the solvent gets in the vent holes. Repeat if necessary. Make a solution with dish soap and warm water. Dip a rag in the solution and wash off the area that had the stain on it. Rinse with a rag dipped in clean water. Dry the drum with a clean, lint-free cloth. Leave the dryer open for 24 hours to let the drum dry.
-
Step 2
Turn on your dryer for 10 minutes to warm the drum. Wet some fabric softener sheets. Wipe the dryer drum until the dryer sheets have no marks on them. Wet a rag with dish soap and water to wash the drum, and wet another rag with clean water to rinse the drum. Dry the drum with a lint-free cloth.

Step 3
Wipe dye marks from your dryer drum with a magic eraser sponge. Clean dye from the drum with a solution made from bleach and water. Wipe the drum with a damp rag that has been dipped in the diluted bleach. Rinse with a clean, damp cloth. Wet a rag with nail polish remover and wipe the dye away. Wash with soapy water and rinse with a clean rag dipped in water.

Step 4
Remove ink from a dryer drum with hair spray. Wet a rag with hair spray and rub the mark to dissolve the ink, making sure none of it gets in the vent holes. Wash the remains of the hair spray with a rag dipped in soapy water and rinse with a damp rag. Dry with a lint-free cloth.
-
Step 5
Spray a little all-purpose cleaner on a rag. Wipe marks from the dryer drum with the rag. Dampen a rag with clean water to rinse. Wet a rag with rubbing alcohol and rub to remove difficult spots. Wash the alcohol away with soapy water and rinse with a dampened rag. Dry with a lint-free cloth.
