How to Catch a Combee
Combee is a rare Pokemon that appears in three different Pokemon games for the Nintendo DS: Pokemon Diamond, Pokemon Pearl and Pokemon Platinum. Combee cannot be caught in the wild; he must be lured to a tree with honey.

Acquire some honey. Honey is the key to attracting a Combee so that you can catch it. You can acquire honey from a character in the Floraroma town meadow. The first batch of honey is granted to you for free, while additional batches of honey will cost money.

Find a tree to slather the honey on. There are sweet honey trees that can be found on many routes throughout the game. The first sweet honey tree is in the Floraroma town meadow. There is another sweet honey tree near the Valley Windworks.

Walk up to the tree and press the "A" button. The game will ask if you want to slather honey on the bark of the tree. Select "Yes."

Wait for at least six hours before returning to the honey tree. It can take between six and 12 hours for a wild Pokemon to appear.

Walk up to the tree to check to see if it is shaking. If the tree is shaking, press the "A" button. If a wild Pokemon has been attracted to the tree by the honey a wild Pokemon battle will be initiated.

Battle the Pokemon that has appeared. Combee is not the only Pokemon that will appear here, although this is the only place that the Combee will appear in the wild. Weaken the Pokemon with your team of Pokemon, taking care not to allow the Combee to faint.

Throw a Pokeball once Combee has been weakened. The better types of Pokeballs are generally preferred since Combee is such a rare Pokemon, so throw a Great Ball or an Ultra Ball if you have these types of Pokeballs to throw.

Continue to throw Pokeballs as necessary until Combee has been caught. Choose a nickname for Combee if you would like to.
