How to Change Recycle Bin Icons
For some, an ordinary-looking computer desktop is enough; for others, a computer desktop is like living space--it needs to fit a certain aesthetic. Consider yourself in the second category? Your wallpaper and color scheme are probably custom, but probably not the recycle bin icon. That's customizable too, though.

Right-click a blank spot on your Desktop and click "Properties," then choose the "Desktop" tab and click the "Customize Desktop" button. In the window that pops up, click the "General" tab. Or, if you're running Vista, click "Start," then "Control Panel," then "Appearance and Personalization," then "Personalization," then "Change Desktop Icons."

Look for the recycle bin in the list of customizable icons. Click it and then click "Change Icon."

Pick an icon from the list, or browse for your own custom icon.
